A dialog between Dan Flavin and the Moon
Freely inspired by the work of Dan Flavin

Dan Flavin: Oh Moon, I’m delighted to be so close to you.
Your blank, unique and incomparable,
yet arcane and magic, captures me.
I’d like to ask you so many things.
I don’t know where to start ...
Luna: I’m delighted as much Dan.
I heard so much about your art,
and your white magic.
That I can’t believe I can finally see it
with my own eyes.
Your idea to go outside Museums,
inside the city, is brilliant.
Tell me now, how did you do it?
It must have been a remarkable effort ...
Dan Flavin: I don’t know.
It happened so quickly.
It was easier than you can imagine.
I found a lot done already.
But I agree with you.
The result is exeptional.
And I am deeply contented....
August 2014. The summer before Expo 2015. Milan is empty. But this year looks more than usual. Not even tourism. The city is not charming at all. Even billboards go on holiday. But for some days the neons on the back remained turned on, naked. Apparently without a reason.
Immediately I thought at Dan Flavin's works I saw in Varese at Villa Panza. I love so much. I though at the special relation between Dan Flavin and Milan. At Chiesa Rossa, his last work here.
I go out with my camera to catch a dialog between Dan Flavin's lines and city's points that are street lamps, headlights and traffic lights.
After a long tour I meet him talking with the moon in Lotto Square.
So I imagine he is walking through the sky like the Bernardi Roig's monument "The light's man".
Using everywhere stairs to climb up. And I photograph them too.
